"Handle and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as you see me to have."
We consider the five apparitions of Jesus on Easter Sunday, recorded in the Gospels (recognizing that he also appeared to his holy Mother, first of all): To Mary Magdalene, to the women, to Cleopas and the other, to St Peter, and to the disciples (not Thomas) in the upper room.
Why did Jesus sometimes appear looking in a different form? Why did he vanish from the sight of the disciples at Emmaus? What is the significance of him choosing to eat? We consider these "proofs" he gave of the truth of his resurrection -- and the greatest proof is that he has fulfilled all that was written in Moses and the Psalms and the Prophets!
