Sermon from Sunday, November 30th -- First Sunday of Advent.
Advent is a time of penance, it's not Christmas. So we shouldn't set up Christmas decorations or go to Christmas parties during Advent when it isn't Christmas.
Rather, we do penance and pray in preparation for the coming of the Messiah.
